As the original post says "What our concertinas look like?" I thought I would show you mine as is!
Mid restoration, just about ready to re-bush, sort pads and valves and anything else that crops up!

For some reason, the picture didn't attach.  I'll try again.

I think I met you at the morris jigs weekend. That dipper was the best damn thing I ever played!

That can't be the right order. Are the two middle ones switched?

Sort of surprised we haven't had one of these in this thread yet... I think this is me with my C. Jeffries FC "tenor", although it actually has 8 fold bellows :-)

Well, that's lovely Adrian!

Do you have one of Susanna with her miniature Aeola at hand as well? 'Twould be interesting to learn how that purpose had been managed then...  :D

See you tomorrow?

Best wishes - Wolf

Here's two concertinas I revamped, the Rochelle for myself and the clone for a friend. They both have upcycled bellows from scrap leather jacket, on the clone I used an old belt for the straps as well. Learning by doing.

Wren (or a clone)

Here is my brand new "Wifra" Ab/Eb  40 button anglo concertina made by 85 year old Willie van Wyk from South Africa. Willie makes Perspex reedpans which will not warp in the Canadian humid summers and freezing winter weather.

Beautiful instruments, Ben! Nice to see Colin and Rosalie with one of their instruments. Is it amboyna? How does it compare to the Wifra?

so here's my second concertina: Wheatstone Model 24 Extended Treble - which is so much fun and joy to play (and reason/chance for my re-entering the concertina universe whereas the Excelsior will remain with me and get an overhaul at some point later)

Sorry this is a bad picture, but here's my concertina. Just a simple Wren Anglo from McNeela, but I'm very fond of it :D
