Chandler Posted March 7, 2015 Posted March 7, 2015 As the original post says "What our concertinas look like?" I thought I would show you mine as is! Mid restoration, just about ready to re-bush, sort pads and valves and anything else that crops up!
Jake Middleton-Metcalfe Posted May 5, 2015 Posted May 5, 2015 For some reason, the picture didn't attach. I'll try again. I think I met you at the morris jigs weekend. That dipper was the best damn thing I ever played!

adrian brown Posted April 25, 2016 Posted April 25, 2016 (edited) Sort of surprised we haven't had one of these in this thread yet... I think this is me with my C. Jeffries FC "tenor", although it actually has 8 fold bellows :-) Adrian Edited April 25, 2016 by aybee

'Twould be interesting to learn how that purpose had been managed then... See you tomorrow? Best wishes - Wolf Edited April 27, 2016 by blue eyed sailor

sami.rantasalo Posted August 2, 2017 Posted August 2, 2017 Here's two concertinas I revamped, the Rochelle for myself and the clone for a friend. They both have upcycled bellows from scrap leather jacket, on the clone I used an old belt for the straps as well. Learning by doing. Wren (or a clone) 1st gen(?) Rochelle
ben Posted October 23, 2017 Posted October 23, 2017 (edited) Here is my brand new "Wifra" Ab/Eb 40 button anglo concertina made by 85 year old Willie van Wyk from South Africa. Willie makes Perspex reedpans which will not warp in the Canadian humid summers and freezing winter weather. Edited October 23, 2017 by ben
Don Taylor Posted October 24, 2017 Posted October 24, 2017 Ben Any chance of seeing a picture of the reedpan? Thx. Don.
ben Posted November 2, 2017 Posted November 2, 2017 Here is my spanking brand new Dipper C/G 40 button anglo made by Colin and Rosalie Dipper (Date: October 30, 2017). I have also added a photo of Colin and Rosalie DIpper...and another photo of my Dipper C/G 40 button along side my new Wifra Ab/Eb (Date: October 17, 2017) ...built by Willie van Wyk from South Africa.
PaddyLosty Posted November 2, 2017 Posted November 2, 2017 Beautiful instruments, Ben! Nice to see Colin and Rosalie with one of their instruments. Is it amboyna? How does it compare to the Wifra?
Wolf Molkentin Posted November 4, 2017 Posted November 4, 2017 (edited) so here's my second concertina: Wheatstone Model 24 Extended Treble - which is so much fun and joy to play (and reason/chance for my re-entering the concertina universe whereas the Excelsior will remain with me and get an overhaul at some point later) Edited November 4, 2017 by blue eyed sailor
Geoff Wooff Posted November 4, 2017 Posted November 4, 2017 so here's my second concertina: Wheatstone Model 24 Extended Treble - which is so much fun and joy to play (and reason/chance for my re-entering the concertina universe whereas the Excelsior will remain with me and get an overhaul at some point later) Looks good Wolf ! Is that a 23 or 28,000 number ?
Wolf Molkentin Posted November 4, 2017 Posted November 4, 2017 (edited) it's 28-ish - thank you Geoff! Edited November 4, 2017 by blue eyed sailor
Bubo Posted December 1, 2017 Posted December 1, 2017 Sorry this is a bad picture, but here's my concertina. Just a simple Wren Anglo from McNeela, but I'm very fond of it
