I wonder if there will be an Elise-2 or Jack(ie)-2?

Do you have any pictures of this concertina?

EasyABC and macOS Big Sur - end of the road?
JimR replied to adrian brown's topic in Teaching and Learning
Is wine a possibility for EasyABC (or a programming language developed in my adopted home of Arizona )? -
John, why don't you start a new thread, with some pictures too.

Duet Concertina - Lachenal Crane fingering layout
JimR replied to PushButtons's topic in General Concertina Discussion
In particular, look at this page, http://www.concertina.com/crane-duet/index.htm#wilston-bulstrode-crane-tutor. -
I'm watching Murdoch Mysteries now, Season 7 Episode 8, called Republic of Murdoch (Allan Hawco appears). One scene includes a band, and a concertina, which appears to really be played.

Nice image, and collection, Gary. Have you seen the youtube video of "Chickens in the Garden"? You had a nice voice too! (Probably still do)

Your link points to this thread, not the youtube video.

Rochelle or Weltmeister or other?
JimR replied to FirbolgNorc's topic in General Concertina Discussion
Many (most?) cheap instruments have hollow button bottoms into which a tube of man made material is placed, then slit for the lever to slide through. The tubing degrades over time and allows the button to move more than it should. -
Rochelle or Weltmeister or other?
JimR replied to FirbolgNorc's topic in General Concertina Discussion
Another advantage to the Rochelle is it's more traditional riveted action as opposed to the rubber tube used by most entry-level 'tinas. -
Pictures are appreciated

What have you been doing during Lockdown
JimR replied to Kelteglow's topic in General Concertina Discussion
That's very nice, Jody, I liked that a lot! -
Very good list, Gary. I noticed that most / every link that lands at the end of a sentence includes the period, invalidating the link. I appreciate good grammar as much as the next guy, but I think just delete the periods.

And so it is! I missed it. Danke.

I like the Olympic Rings of shapes, though I am unable to read anything. My HS German was some, some time ago.

Could you post an image of the other (left) side please?

It is my understanding that Github hosts open source projects. Open source implies contribution from others. Your project may not see any code contribution from others, and who knows perhaps Github allows for 'locking' a project to only one user account, I don't know, I'm only a retire scripter!

GitHub is the new SourceForge, I have read. If, of course, you are willing to accept changes to your program.

I recently had a parcel delivered by the US Post Office to the wrong address Granted it's value was only $100, but a claim led nowhere. Fortunately, my neighbor could read the label and delivered it to my door.

That is the reason I used YYYY/MM/DD when scripting at work. Easier to sort-by-date and find the newest or oldest occurances of whatever you're looking at. I still use yyyy/mm/dd today when saving receipts and such.

David Copperfield Film, new release, Old Concertina
JimR replied to d.elliott's topic in General Concertina Discussion
My wife and I saw this movie the other day, curiously titled "The Personal History of David Copperfield" in the US. We greatly enjoyed the film, as well as Mr Capaldi's "playing". -
Erik, could you post some more pictures please?
