I recently noticed that my early Bastari which is exactly the same model as Ken's Bastari (numbered 13X instead of 52X) has different air button lever and pad layout from Wizard anglo. Is it possible that these Bastaris and Wizard anglos were manufactured at different periods ?

Just for your reference, there is 1950's brochure of May Fair including finger chart.

I do not have inside photo currently. But I believe it has 22 button originally (not modified from 20 button) and have English type construction not German one.

It might be a 42-key chromatic anglo described in Jones' 1884 patent. http://www.concertina.com/jones/index.htm

The fretwork reminds me of Jones too. But 7 buttons in a row looks unusual to me. In the photo above the 6th button has riveted action but 7th one (and air button) have hooked action. So this might be a result of a modification.

I now own the one described above. Celestial means double reed tremolo tuning according to the Dan Warroll's article here.

I don't know if I should upload it but I archived a photo from ebay 2016 and it shows separate reed chamber and enlarged(doubled) pads.

I think the first one was filmed in Japan, at Birdland Cafe in Kanagawa, not in Okinawa.

That one in the photo has similar bellows papers to my old Bastari.

Does it have "Louis Lachenal" label or "Lachenal & Co" label ? If the latter, it might be 114949 (leading 1 missing) or 14949X. I once saw the photo of 15130 (slightly later than yours) which had "Louis Lachenal" label and numbered keys. That was with 20 buttons though. ?

End grill is not an Edgley because Edgley instruments have end bolts on the corner. The instrument in the clip looks like Jeffries anglo to me but I may be wrong.

I think some model of Lachenal and Wheatstone have such slots for air levers (bowing valve?). But I am not sure they only have slots or they have actual levers. I am curious about action improvement. The Button Box of Massachusetts also says (from some months ago) about Stagi W15-LN as "30-button model with new improved action." I am not sure the improvement is the same but would like to see the improved action photos. ?
