Nesi

I'm in the Button Box "shop" here at NESI and Jody is honking away on one of the stock baritones. There are a _load_ of concertinas in stock. Always an evil temptation to show up here, dangerous for one's checkbook.

By the time Jim Besser's hornpipe session really got rolling this morning about 20 folks were in the room (only one accordion).

Well, it's done, and a great time was had by all, as far as I could tell. High point for me was reconnecting with an accordion player from near Zurich, Switzerland who I met a few years ago when Julie and I went to a contradance that he and his wife run. It was I who encouraged him to come to NESI, and now, here he was. We had an hour or so to play together after breakfast this morning and taught each other a lot of great tunes.

I also want to thank everyone responsible for allowing me to get through the whole weekend without once hearing Josefin's Waltz.

HA. You missed Josefin's; you must have been in a different room. I tried to stop it, but failed.

It was a great weekend. Lots of concertinas, lots of great players. Our Swiss friend was my roommate, and he was a delight.

Such a wonderful time. I am still smiling. Don’t know if it is traditional but my new Concertina has been named ‘Sadie’. Can’t thank you enough Doug for all your encouragement

Sadie is a wonderful name...good luck, have fun, find some friends to play with. If you need help shoot me an email.

It was fantastic. Just working on some of the myriad new NESI learned tunes in my stash. What a joyful time.

I feel so fortunate.

It's always a high point of my year. Nice hanging out with you, Sarah - and with all the others. A great group of people.
