  1. Afraid I cant help with the name of the tune but I did enjoy listening to it.
  2. I recently purchased Paul Hardy's Session Tunebook 2018 and have to say I am absolutely delighted with it. Many thanks Paul.
  3. Very nice indeed. Thanks
  4. Thanks for the tip and I really enjoyed the Poppy Leaf Hornpipe.
  5. Very nice indeed. Its good to hear jazz being played on the concertina.
  6. Thanks Chris, mine came from Chris Algar as well. I visited with the intention of maybe purchasing the EE 56 key baritone treble (can be seen on his website) but as soon as I held the 64 key in my hands and played a few notes I just knew it was for me. Like yours mine has the fittings for wrist straps only.
  7. This is what a forums all about, sharing information, it really helps those of us who don't have the knowledge and experience. Thanks.
  8. I do Wolf. I just don't want to put it down, it just encourages me to play. …. My wife has a different opinion though.
  9. I haven't either the time nor the dosh to afford him LOL.
  10. I wonder if it has been purchased to play or to be part of a collection?
  11. Thanks, I'll study it tomorrow to see if I can find anything suitable..
  12. It may just come to that Geoff but it would be the last resort for me as I'm not that good at that sort of thing. I have already asked Chris.
  13. Hopefully there is a photo of my Baritone Treble attached below.
  14. My Baritone Treble Aeola came in a modern case but the case is on the big side and there are things I don't like about it, so I am trying to find something more suitable. Can anyone point me in the right direction? I should add I live in the UK.
  15. Thanks to all for your helpful replies. Since posting, I have acquired another EC and find with this one I can play quieter, seems to have better control of the reeds they can be played loud, soft or in between and maybe I am finding bellow control easier.
  16. Well I have just collected my Baritone Treble today. In the end I chose the 64 key model over a 56 key, it just felt better in my hands. Have just finished my first couple of hours playing and am very pleased. I have still a long way to go but I feel the journey with this concertina will be a happy one.
  17. When playing the violin in the house a heavy practice mute can be used to reduce the sound right down. With the saxophone a cloth is stuffed into the bell end..... What can be done with the Concertina apart from bellow control?
  18. Would a pianist find any particular concertina system easier to play. I don't know enough about Duets but I think probably one of the Duet systems would be favourite but then maybe the EC? Any pianists out there who can give their opinion? I should add I am not a pianist myself although I am attempting to learn the piano and I do play the EC albeit not as well as I would like.
