Takayuki YAGI
Does this exist? I thought Lachenal used hooked action. My friend recently acquired a Lachenal EC with riveted action (original or later replacement?). Any info would be greatly appreciated. YAGI ? Wolf Molkentin
I've once read of an Edeophone with riveted action, which were supposed to be original (not sure as to how reliable the information was)

FWIW it also has alloy reed frames, and was my main squeeze for many years. It has replacement bellows by Rosalie Dipper.
Geoff Wooff
I have had at least two lachenal EC's with rivetted action. One was a 63key Piccolo/Treble Edeophone that I bought from Mark Davis in 1975. It also had Aluminium alloy reed frames. Another was a 48 key Baritone New Model that I had quite recently. Both of these lachenals were of exceptional quality and probably special orders. I've no doubt the rivetted actions were original.
Greg Jowaisas
Several rivet action Edeos (with aluminum reed shoes) have been through the workshop. No doubt original actions.
Mike Franch
I wonder if they were made after Wheatstone acquired some of the Lachenal equipment when Lachenal went under. I've seen a Edeophone-looking instrument that was Wheatstone badged. I didn't get a look inside.
