But do this: in the browser adress field, remove the file name "spring.mpg", hit return. You will get a plain window with a list of files (which one shouldn't really get - another story). Download the file - don't click the name, but right-click, "Save target as...". Looking at the donwloaded file reveals the problem: the file name is "spring.mp.txt" (at least as I receive it). Change the extension to the correct ".mpg" and Bob's (pun intended) Your Uncle. As to the content: this is a great idea, but I do agreee with David, too small, too fuzzy, and no sound please (unless there is some hidden measage there . But all that is to be overcome without fuss. Incidentally, I am a few days away from (re)making the springs (the first ones were too soft) for my project. I have developed another type of spring making jig. When the dust has settled (= when the thaing is playing) I'll consider doing a video - at least photos (of which at least one is bound to appear on my project pages). Certainly much better than trying to describe it alone. Perhaps a better look at your tool would help me Bob. What gauge of wire did you use? As for the link - it appears your filename just had the .mp suffix instead of .mpg - thus (for some) the broken link (I just removed the filename altogether and looked for the most recent file). http://hmi.homewood.net/video/spring.mp The above should work for anyone getting the 'broken link' and who might be unfamiliar with poking around the address line. I am deleting it now. try these and let me know if they work. These are reduced files of an 85 mg AVI file. If they play for you, A GREATBIG thanks to HENRIK! I thought the "MOV" illustrated the shaping process quite well. If I knew the composition and size/gauge of the wire used, I've no doubt that I could create a similiar forming tool and wind a spring in short order. I also tried your "test2.mp4" and it looked good too. I ended up going through everything in the directory and all the files played on my end.
