Daniel Hersh Posted January 19, 2022 Posted January 19, 2022 We've pulled together information about all the planned World Concertina Day in-person and online events that we know about into one web page at https://concertina.org/world-concertina-day-events . I think it's a pretty impressive list! If you're planning something that isn't yet listed that you'd like us to include, contact us at wcd@concertina.org to let us know. Daniel for the ICA World Concertina Day team
Daniel Hersh Posted January 25, 2022 Author Posted January 25, 2022 (edited) There's a new participatory online World Concertina Day event! It's the World Concertina Day Video Challenge which was put together by two players in Germany. Check it out! Edited January 25, 2022 by Daniel Hersh
Daniel Hersh Posted January 31, 2022 Author Posted January 31, 2022 World Concertina Day (Sunday February 6) is less than a week away! Too many great events to list in one post - check them out at https://concertina.org/world-concertina-day-events . 1
Ex Libris Posted February 1, 2022 Posted February 1, 2022 A really impressive list Daniel. I’m working with Colin Whyles on a short film for World Concertina Day which includes a symphonion solo! We’ve also made a fascinating link between the instrument and some Victorian sheet music. 1
Takayuki YAGI Posted February 2, 2022 Posted February 2, 2022 Hi Daniel, Do you have a hashtag for celebrating World Concertina Day on Instagram or Twitter? There doesn't seem to be one at the moment, but how about using #worldconcertinaday ?

CraneDriver Posted February 2, 2022 Posted February 2, 2022 I'm been using #worldconcertinaday too! There's so much going on now, it should be a super event!
Takayuki YAGI Posted February 6, 2022 Posted February 6, 2022 It looks like a lot of people on Twitter are enjoying the day (although there are many Japanese due to the time difference). https://twitter.com/search?q=%23worldconcertinaday&src=recent_search_click&f=live
David Barnert Posted February 7, 2022 Posted February 7, 2022 Some great stuff here. Cohen B-K, of course, and Randy and Jim, but who is this “goisagi” person? Really nice work. And what kind of instrument? I had just about convinced myself from the layout and the fingering that it was a Hayden when I noticed some bellows reversals that wouldn’t make sense outside the context of Anglo.

Yes, "goisagi" is an anglo player in Japan.

Goisag-san's instrument is Clover of Concertina Connection with Jeffries layout, I believe. Edited February 7, 2022 by gtotani
