musical priest replied to SteveS's topic in Buy & Sell
Hi Steve, I've just stumbled over your offer, and it sounds like a really interesting instrument. Could you please give me some more information, some pics of course would be great. Cheers Claus -
Received my copy yesterday (PayPal worked out nicely), have listened to it several times now ... great, great stuff indeed! A real joy to listen to this inspired playing! If you don't have a copy yet, get one, you won't regret it!

musical priest replied to accordionmagic's topic in General Concertina Discussion
Now does that sound interesting - or what! Please let us know about your progress! Claus (in a rather midi mood ) -
"Mouthbox" by James Conway is great stuff on the harmonica too. You can contact James here: harp3333@hotmail.com Cheers Claus

Excellent advice indeed, Jim, it surely helped to keep my nasty tendon problems at bay. Thanks a lot ! Claus (So not only your jokes are first class...)

Happy Birthday, dear Helen! Keep up the good work as founding member of the "Shepherds' Support Group" Cheers Claus -
Come on, Helen, I'd never ever let a founding member of the "Shepherds' Support Group" down, trust me . So check your mail and enjoy! Cheers Claus
-
Thanks to Jim for mailing me the joke. So I've found my peace at last. But sorry, Jim, there might be a few requests more for the joke now - off the board of course ... (Come on, people, this is family entertainment here! ) Claus (big, big grin)
-
AAAHHH!!! That poor Concertina! But nevertheless - a very Happy New Year everybody! Claus
-
Great idea, Helen. How about singing and playing "Shepherds Arise" in the meantime - to raise the spirit. So come on folks, join us - or give us the joke ! Claus (proud member of the "shepherds' support group" )

The postcard simply said "master from the 15th century". A humorous master he must have been . Claus
-
Ok, he's not trying out the concertina - yet. But isn't this little Jesus with his musical interest too sweet anyway? Merry Christmas! Claus
-
A very Merry Xmas to all of you! It's been my first year playing the concertina again after a long, long break, and you've been a great help and inspiration - thanks! Season's greetings Claus
-
Ok, Jim, so here's an urgent reason to be back soon, right? Hey, it's Christmas time, and all I can think about, when hearing "shepherds" is "what's the bloody joke" ... Claus
-
And then again - what about the shepherd, please? Claus
-
Now these are lovely pictures indeed. Thanks. Actually I'd love to see more stuff like this ... Claus

This thread (and it's twin) remind me of one of my favorite Monty Python quotes: "Now this is extremly nasty, but we can't prosecute you for that." Claus (still musing about this "Lark's vomit")

Hi Robert, as far as my experience goes, Scholer concertinas are very nasty buggers , surely no upgrade to Hohner (which are at least well in tune). If you really want to upgrade, try to get some decent old Lachenal or the like - surely more expensive, but ten times more fun to play. Cheers Claus
-
Reminds me of the joke about the shepherd. Come on, Jim, don't make me beg. Give us the one about the shepherd, will you! Claus
-
"Reverend" Claus, but not "Saint" (Santa) Claus? Rats! I was going to ask you to bring me a few nice instruments for Christmas. Bah humbug! I'll keep them all for myself . But then again, wouldn't a little Christmas session be nice? Rev. Claus (the one with a touch of identity crisis now ... )
-
O dear, I am actually a parson - and I do hit them bum notes quite often. Now I'm in a deep crisis - my faith is not strong enough? Downstairs I go now to fetch my concertina for an hour or two of hard praying ... Claus ("Reverend" )
-
But you didn't give up, I hope! By the way, have you noticed, it's absolutely impossible to play the concertina with fingers crossed?! Hoping Claus

musical priest replied to Peter Brook's topic in General Concertina Discussion
To see this line up - and not a chance to make it there, life can be tough! But enjoy it, you lucky, lucky folks attending! Cheers Claus -
Bugger, I had hoped for a Washing English.
