richard Posted August 30, 2021 Posted August 30, 2021 (edited) THIS CONCERTINA IS NO LONGER AVAILABLE. Thanks for your interest. Edited October 7, 2021 by richard
Bassconcertina.net Posted August 30, 2021 Posted August 30, 2021 Cool case unfortunately I’m 12 years old and can’t afford that 1
PaddyLosty Posted August 30, 2021 Posted August 30, 2021 Nice playing Richard! I always loved the tone of those Lachenals. 1
John Sylte Posted September 4, 2021 Posted September 4, 2021 Oh me gaaaawd, I would love to own this. I have the same semi miniature box in a 20 button, in almost new condition… I could put a different set of reeds in it perhaps for a trade? I love this little guy. I’m in the states.
Dowright Posted September 4, 2021 Posted September 4, 2021 The semi-miniature Norman has 13 keys and is in the key of G. It has been sold.
Alan Day Posted September 4, 2021 Posted September 4, 2021 Because of the light weight and size of these concertinas they were referred to as Ladies Instruments . I had one of these to restore and tune years ago and I was very impressed with the sound . It was eventually sold to a lovely lady friend who followed the Broadwood Morris and was Director of a local brewery. So how could I resist not letting her buy it.
jellyroll Posted September 8, 2021 Posted September 8, 2021 Whats the key layout? Mainly the accidentals. - thanks
richard Posted September 11, 2021 Author Posted September 11, 2021 Here is the note layout for the semi-miniature Lachenal C/G: Lachenal 26 layout.pdf
sNick Posted February 22, 2024 Posted February 22, 2024 I know this is an old thread, but can anyone tell me what the dimensions are/were for this instrument (the Lachenal 26-button)? Or any similar 26-odd button semi-miniature. - Thanks
richard Posted February 24, 2024 Author Posted February 24, 2024 Hi It comes in at a whopping 5.25" across the flats. And I'm really glad I still have it in spite of the momentary episode when I offered it here. Would you like any other sort of measurements? Richard 1
