conzertino
The problem ist that they usually have only 4-fold bellows... I had 7-folders fitted to mine. Now it is a lovely quiet and useful instrument! One of my favourites!

Geoff Wooff
I bought one just like this in the mid 1970's in a secondhand musical instrument shop in London, I paid £4 if my recollection is correct. Very fine instrument but it would not 'pull the skin off a rice pudding' in the volume stakes. I sold it on before I was tempted to open up the fretwork... tut tut ... such thoughts! conzertino
There are times, when my head only allows me to play that ultra quiet pinhole! The action - by the way - is as good as any later Aeola. I once exchanged only one end of a model 22 with one end of the pinhole! The difference between the two ends was extreme!!! Which prooves that the ends make all the difference... The reeds are double-bolted... Edited June 4, 2016 by conzertino
