Bob Tedrow Posted September 26, 2007 Posted September 26, 2007 How many of you have concertinas tuned a=454?
Pete Dunk Posted September 26, 2007 Posted September 26, 2007 I have a 48 key Lachenal in Philharmonic pitch which seems to vary in definition between 453, 454 and 455 depending which opera house you attended or which piano makers reference tuning fork you used!
Jack Bradshaw Posted September 26, 2007 Posted September 26, 2007 How many of you have concertinas tuned a=454? The 46 button Mccann that I have is a=454........I thought it was 452 but a careful measurement today gives 454!
Ken_Coles Posted September 26, 2007 Posted September 26, 2007 If that's the same as Old Philharmonic pitch (but how could it be? C 530 is less sharp of C521 than A454 vs. A 440? Maybe I'm mixed up here), I have a Lachenal anglo so tuned. Nice old box. Ken
mike averill Posted September 28, 2007 Posted September 28, 2007 Nothing in 454 but I have a reed organ in 452 (Choir pitch) and a spare set of reed organ reeds at the same pitch that are destined to be retuned to 440 and put in a foot bass when I get time.
Marien Posted October 7, 2007 Posted October 7, 2007 (edited) How many of you have concertinas tuned a=454? My G/D german concertina is tuned 440, but one reed copes quite well with an A=454 Edited October 7, 2007 by marien
