Name of last person posting on a thread

Until a few minutes ago, when I opened a section of the forum, over on the right hand side would be the identify of the last person who has posted on each thread. Now I am seeing an icon instead. How do I get back to seeing the name?

FWIW, I’m seeing the same thing. Icons, no names. That suggests it’s not something under the control of your computer or mine, but some change in the system software that runs the forum.

On this tablet I get icons in portrait orientation, and names in landscape.

I definitely haven't changed or updated anything in the forum system. On my computer (Safari, Mac) names are still showing. Maybe it's some cache issue... I'll see if I can clear it, maybe that will help.

The layout adjusts to the device width:

>1200px there is an icon and a name

>980 and <1200 there is a name

<980 there is just an icon

 

You're likely to see the last of those on a mobile device.

 

* In desktop Firefox you can use Tools>Browser tools>Responsive design mode to change the display size: drag the right edge to left and right and see how the layout changes. There's probably something similar in Chrome. Just changing the window size should show it too.
