Marien
a wheatstone octagonal treble on ebay. I am passing on this one, I am just wondering about the `buy it now price only` phylosophy. The seller has positive feedbacks, but these buy it now offers always ring a bell, especially when message windows are popping up alarming the buy it now price... Any ideas about this seller? Geoff Wooff
This seller has been doing this for a while now... it is a scam and has been discussed on this forum several times... as I recall the instrument in question belongs or belonged to one of our members and certainly not the person advertising it on Ebay. Beware !

Paul Read
Definite scam. I have reported it. The pop-up is new to me though.

Geoff Wooff
wow, ebay is fast, it already disappeared... He's fast as well, here it is again! Teepee, have you picked up the wrong end of the stick ? I think that Marien's post was about an Octagonal Wheatstone which keeps on croping up on ebay at a very low starting bid and with a bargan price "buy it now" ... which is from a definate Scammer. I am certainly not sure that the one you have linked to here is a scam, just a re-listing. Edited October 16, 2012 by Geoff Wooff
teepee
I was wrong, don't know what make me think this way... I'm very sorry, thank you for your advice.
PeteP
I can assure you that the model 25 is NOT a scam. I do not and have NEVER EVER attempted to scam anyone. This is a genuine decent quality instrument. Please be more careful about who you accuse in the future.
