It appears that I have too many instruments (is this possible?). Anyway, I am selling my 60 key Wheatstone 25. The model 25 is the extended range version of the coveted model 22.
The good points:
Raised metal ends, 6 fold bellows, bowing valve, wrist strap screws fitted (no straps). It was fully overhauled by Dave Elliott about 2 years ago with pads, valves, bellows rebind etc.. The original fitted case was renovated by our local saddlers with reinforcing corners, new carry strap and lock strap.
The not so good points:
The ends have quite a lot of wear where the heel of your palm sits (see pictures). This has worn though slightly just at the very back corner - just visible on LH end. Strangely the buttons and surround only show normal use. There is also one patch under the bellows on the outside where the hinge must have been damaged. This is only visible upside down.
Anyway I am looking for offers close to £1800. If anyone wishes to see it, I am near Stroud in Gloucestershire. If it sells through this forum, I will make the appropriate donation.
