Thanks Leonard. Reading through that thread I see that I had even commented there myself, on pages 14 and 15. Maybe the three (or more) threads about dating Lachenals should be cross-linked?

Hello,

i just became the owner of a Lachenal & Co english concertina with serial number 52208. Is it possible to calculate/estimate the date?

 

there is 1 bolt broken. 1 of the 6 holding the concertina together. Where can i find the right one? It does not seems easy to find the right one.
