  1. Here's my version. https://soundcloud.com/woofysplace/crested-hens
  2. Jim, I think ip board does have a "like" feature. The ultimaker forum also looks like it uses ip board an definitely has it. I really hope you continue totm. Although I have never contributed, I look in every few days and occasioally vote when I like a tune. I've only learned one tune from totm so far, Andy Cuttings "The Abbess", but like a few who have commented here, I play melody only. I do feel there is an expectation to play some form of accompaniment, which leaves me feeling intimidated about posting.
  3. I have a couple of sugestions: First, here's a beautiful french tune, "adieu les filles de mon pays" which really lends itself to moody expression. It's also quite an easy tune to learn. Here's an example in keeping with the mood of the lyrics: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vN0gqkpodQU And a more bouncy example: The second tune I'd like to suggest is Andy Cutting's "In Continental Mood". It's a challenging but rewarding tune to play. Here's the man himself playing it (first tune).
  4. I think the views v downloads will always look distorted in that way. I have listened to every recording but I look in on these pages daily. However, I would suggest future tunes thread so we have a pool of tunes to put forward to the monthly poll.
  5. Hi Gary, Page 57 is still wrong, the tune is in G same as page 58.
  6. Any idea when this will (again) be available to purchase? It's currently out of stock everywhere.
  7. Can't say I've seen this before, but I'm probably going blind. Is it new or old? Are we getting a Melnet style tune of the month forum? I see we currently can't post to it.
  8. Never knew what an iPad was until I visited my daughter the other day. I asked her if she had a newspaper. She said "Dad, that's so last century, here, borrow my iPad" I tell you, that fly never knew what hit it
  9. Just voted "Other". It's Jeffries in that I have C# push and pull on the 1st 2 right hand accidentals, but they are reversed in direction so the 1st button is C# push like a Lachenal. Mick Bramich shows it this way in his tutor, "The Irish Concertina". It would be interesting if those who vote "other" explained in more detail the differences.
  10. However,I should like to know if Jeff normally plays his duet while sitting up a tree? Is this an obligatory form of practice? I think he's trying to branch out! Sometimes, we all have a desire to be leafed alone. I've just twigged, you're all barking. The root of the issue is that I need to get trunk more often. You poor sap. This thread is starting to lumber along nicely. I might be going out on a limb here, but, tree bien; unbeleafable. Wood you please stop! Oh lord ... what did I start? I hope someone's logging all of these comments? You will need to try harder than that to stem the flow.

  14. Heh! Heh! Watch out you lot. I've had a tax rebate, so now I can afford a taxi to take me directly to M.C. bypassing all the prevoius play. That was 4 days ago and I'm still in the taxi, but I'm sure I'm almost there. ---- sent from my iPhone in the taxi at East Putney.
