Hey It's quite funny to read about all of this, coming from the "free" evil west and having been guest at least once a year in the liberal and philantropic east as a child. I remember the GDR as a country full of - well yes - calm and friendly people closed in by some always smiling guy called Erich Honecker and his folks. The people I met were afraid of talking about their actual thoughts because you could never be sure whether one of the Stasi guys was around to listen carefully. Confessing members of the lutheran church were hardly allowed to study at the technical university and all the letters we got from there had wrinkeled edges at the opening caused by the steam to open and read them at the office before we got them. Talking about the GDR as a lost paradise is as stupid as it is ignorant - sorry for the harsh words - Maybe you know the films "The Lives of Others" or "Good bye Lenin" which show partly the reality, the second mentioned also a bit of the "Ostalgie" someone wrote about earlier. Concetina Connection advertise it here on their own website. It was exhibited there for quite a while and now it seems they want to sell it for good. They asked 2200€ for it - well nobody wanted an instrument with 430 Herz. nontox

Thanks so far - Well the thing with the bellows is a mystery. Look at the ledger for Concertina 33654 - here is the mirror entry - they obviously swapped the bellows of two concertinas. Erinoid studs means ... what? The buttons are some ancient kind of plastic or what studs are meant by that? Interested to find out more Joschi

This is sold as a wheatstone and I have no doubt that it is one - but: Is it a cheap one, is it a treble or a baritone - can this be seen from outside? From the ancient pricelists it seems to be one of the simple models - but I'm not sure. How much would you expect to be the price for it? I don't want to buy it but I am curious, trying to get information about this new topic. By the way I am totally new to this forum and want to say hello to you all. Joschi
