Here are two raves from the grave

Sussex Bonny Breast Knot / Hullachan Jig

Two tunes to have fun with.

Al :)

Really nice, ALan. Especially like the descending bass lines. I'm digging back through memory: you have a 38 button, right? I' thnk I can't quite replicate the bass lines on a 30 button.

All on the push Jim Left hand base notes.

L= Little finger ,R=Ring finger

G - G row® , F- D row (L) ,E- Acc Row ® , D - G row (L) Should all be descending

As you know I use this run quite a lot

Please let me know if this is OK

Very nice Al. The second tune is perhaps more commonly known as 'Tripping Upstairs'. I was thinking of posting a version of it but you beat me to it

Please post yours, anyway. It's not just the one "Tune" of the month that I'd like to hear styled by different players. I would hope that anything that fits under the "Theme" is also fair game. :)

AH...as soon as I tried it I realized what you were doing. Works just fine on 30 buttons. Fun tune!

And a silly experiment.

I wanted to see if I could string together most of the jigs I do for various Northwest Morris clog dances in a single take. What made it hard: they're from different dances, and out of sequence (most Northwest dances use specific medleys, with a repeating chorus tune interspersed with other tunes). And I had no preconceived order - just whatever popped into my head.

I think I need some migraine medicine after that experiment.

I'd tell you the tune names, but I can't remember some of them. It starts with the Roman Wall and ends with Oyster Girl. Just before Cock of the North is Glandyfyi, a nice jig by Brian Peters.

Here's a new one, named after a favorite miscreant puppet. At one point the full name was "Mr. Punch's Victory Dance", so imagine him gleefully wielding a stick and prancing about:

In the second measure, is that a stick clash, a barking Toby, a crocodile bite, a snapping noose, or maybe even a dropped baby?!?!?

Good one!. Sounds like it would make a great Morris tune.

Definitely a stick clash Didn't Mr. Punch first learn his moves dancing Morris? ;)
