Sharron
Hello everyone I can sort of play but not for long or any good for that matter. It is going to take time as I have trouble flexing and moving in certain ways. I managed to drive the car for the first time since last night, so I hope I am on the road to recovery. Phew but its a longer one when you get older. Thanks Sharron
megmcd
Sharron, By any chance did your doctor suggest physical therapy? I've been through a somewhat shocking amount of that because of multiple injuries and surgeries over the last dozen years. Most of the time PT really does help, although sometimes, in my experience, it makes things worse. You have to pay attention to how your body responds to know if the therapy is working for you (and tell the therapist to start you off gently). But if your doctor has mentioned PT I'd recommend that you consider trying it. I realize you're a whole continent away, but here in Seattle we have specialists in hand/arm surgery and physical therapy. I wonder whether you can find someone like that in your area. I wish you a complete recovery! Meg
Helen
Gosh, Sharron, this is so unfair. And you with a new concertina. I've been thinking a lot about you lately and mourning the fact that my emails don't go through to you. However I am trying to think of alternate routes! Hope you recover fully and soon. Sharron
Thanks Meg I am afraid as far as my doctor goes I just have to get on with it and it will take however long it decides to take to get better, if it can. So when I can get to move my arm somewhere near to where I could before I will take matters further myself. Just at the moment the movement is so limited. So I will wait a little while longer before I go back to the doctors, although I do try to move it a little further and stretch it when I can. Helen keep trying with the emails or else Sharron
Helen
Oh well, with such a charming threat, how could I not? Jim, thanks for the interest. Sharron has sent me some alternate routes which I shall try. Helen
