Harry Bluff A.k.a......

Recommended Posts

I've been trying to find out some information on Harry Bluff, following Alan Day's posting. As yet I've no evidence that he played the concertina, but Peter Charlton has informed me that he worked under varias aliases one of which was an 'Irishman' , Will O'Patten!!

Best wishes

Roger

Wasn't Annette Curtain in that band ?!
Were you thinking of the old blues guitarist Blind Cord Puller?
And that Irish brass player "Wind" O'Pane was in there somewhere....

Those bring to mind a few more, but this is supposed to be a "family" forum. :o

(And so it wouldn't do for the parents to discover that their kids already understand the puns I have in mind. :P)

But I do know a piper whose real name is Rick O'Shea. :)

I should probably be the last person to comment about strange names, I suppose.... :o

However, and I know these sound corny, but they're true...

When I lived in Bath, our next door neighbour's name was Teresa Green.

Her husband, Mike, was a reasonable Irish box player (the instrument, that is, not the tree).

And in Sydney I knew a fellow with the unlikely name of Alan Key.

(And before any one else says it, yes, he had a big family, in fact there was a whole bunch of them....)
