Matthew Heumann
What is the duty rate for musical instruments (keyboard, piano, etc.) imported into the United States? Duty rates for musical instruments vary depending on the country of origin. Duty is assessed based on the price paid (converted to dollars) for the instrument. Duty rates for musical instruments can be obtained in Chapter 92 of the Harmonized Tariff Schedule of 2024. "Antique instruments over 100 years old are exempt from duty."

Generally there would be no UK tax added. it would be the destination country which would apply import duties.
