Victor F
I am new to music and I am teaching myself 30 button anglo concertina. I am struggling with staying on beat and I thought a game might help with that. Are there any virtual games that you can play along with music using your instrument. From what I've googled Rocksmith and Yousician are some programs. I haven't tried them but from promotional material it seems the game puts the emphasis on the tabs for particular instrument which is not ideal for concertina. Anything that just plays along with sheet music or notes?
SIMON GABRIELOW
Maybe try a metronome? I have one and home.. I never used it even as beginner as it interrupted the natural flow rythm you develop with practice.. But if you need a very strong rhythm to stick to at this stage maybe that is answer. My ( rarely ever used one) is small and wind up mechanical type..with different approximate tempo markings. Gives a nice click sound. anyone can follow along to. See if you can find a cheap one online? You won't expect to pay that much for a basic one I am guessing if you were not living in USA I would send you my one ( for free minus postage)..in mail post but would possibly not survive the journey over seas!😊 Edited January 15 by SIMON GABRIELOW
Victor F
I agree a metronome feels interrupting. I did more googling about games and couldn't find anything too fruitful. I suppose I am stuck with playing along with videos or Musescore.
Michael Eskin
Hi Vico, Perhaps my "Tune Trainer" in my free ABC Transcription Tools might be of interest to you? They are available at: https://michaeleskin.com/abc and also support the injection of Anglo Concertina tablature if that's something you might be interested in. Paul_Hardy
To play along to, I recorded (on concertina) all 685 tunes in my session tunebook (https://pghardy.net/tunebooks/) played first slowly then faster - see https://pghardy.net/greenshoots/virtual/, or an alphabetical list at https://pghardy.net/tunebooks/pgh_session_tunebook_recordings.html. Or the Tunebooks page has instructions for downloading the ABC for all the tunes and using a computer app to play them to you at whatever speed you want.

Cathasach
I was joking with a friend about making Concertina Hero, like guitar hero but for concertina. I don't know how to program or anything so the likelihood of this happening is pretty low, lol.
Rexotank
When I was first learning to play an instrument in school they made us use this program called Noteflight. You play along with the sheetmusic and it tells you how accurate you are, how good your tone is etc. It's been a long time since I've used it but it sounds like it might be sort of what you want? It is subscription based now, unfortunately, but theres also a 60-day trial. https://www.noteflight.com/learn Edited January 24 by Rexotank clarity and spelling mistake

I'm a little over a month into learning the Anglo so your links look like some good resources to add to my working with Easy Anglo 1-2-
SIMON GABRIELOW
Have you also thought of connecting [ online] with one of Concertina net folk here? I am sure someone here may be please to help you 'live' on stream [ as they call it] I would help, only that my connection is so slow that I fear by time I had provided a tune or lesson - there would be no hope at all to progress! it would be like travelling to the moon on a bicycle and taking a long time to get there!
