Parts In North America

Hello,

 

I have a weak spring in my concertina, and I need to buy a replacement. Is there anyplace in North America where I can get small concertina parts? If not, then I will buy from overseas. I need to get my concertina going, I have found that skipping practice even a little has a major negative effect on my playing. Such as it is.

 

My only objection to importing parts is shipping time, and the shipping cost/parts cost ratio when I only get a few items.

Have you tried The Button Box?

As a temporary measure you could swap the bad spring with a good one on the button you use the least. That way you won't loose out on practice time while you wait for the spare to arrive.

Yes, we've concertina action springs... spring steel piano wire, stainless steel, phosphor bronze.... 3-barrel, 4 barrel, right or left hook, different leg lengths.... new, used, and custom made....

Thank you all, the Button Box it is. And thank you for the spring swap idea. I have done that and I can practice now! The spring that went weak broke when I removed it, it was the second D over middle C.
