This is what got me interested in finding out what was behind the ends. My Excelsior still has some of the standoffs for baffles, although the baffles are long gone. Don Taylor Posted December 9, 2012 Share Posted December 9, 2012 Lea tells me that his Excelsior does not have baffles and that he thinks the cloth was added as part of the last restoration by Mike Acott.
