Lachenal 20k Anglo with metal ends

I was very surprised last week to be offered a 20 key Lachenal Anglo with metal ends. I did not know such things existed. Are there any more around? Anyone else seen one?

I remember one on the cover of Absolute Beginner's Concertina (the instructional book), which gave me the idea that they do exist!
