Jody Kruskal
Chris lives nearby and he emailed me to introduce himself and ask for concertina lessons. He had never played concertina before and claimed to have a 20 button instrument so I assumed that it must be a 20 button Anglo. When he showed up for lesson #1 I was shocked to see an Elise Hayden duet. He miscounted the buttons. I've never played one myself, but rather than send him home, I pulled up the fingering chart from the Concertina Connection web site and taught Chris a fine first lesson. It seems that concertina skills are remarkably transferable between systems. What do they say? If life hands you lemons... make lemonade.
JimLucas
What do they say? If life hands you lemons... make lemonade. Ah, but according to the reports I've seen, the Elise is no lemon.
saguaro_squeezer
But does a lemon sound different on puah and draw?
JimLucas
But does a lemon sound different on puah and draw? Shouldn't that be on squeeze and suck? But to get back on topic: Well done, Jody.
