I understand the staff and basically everything that is printed but I'm not really sure about anything that is handwritten in. I'm guessing the ^ means to draw and without that you should push for the note/chord. Can anyone else help explain all the other notation that is handwritten in?

Looks like notation for a Chemnitzer concertina, they use some really strange button notations.

Looks like notation for a Chemnitzer concertina, they use some really strange button notations.

Specifically, the keys on a Chemnitzer are all marked with numbers to allow players who can't read music to play from this sort of tablature.
