Paul Read
This is a fabulous example of the beast but zero feedback, located in the UK, ships only to US. I would have concerns. Amboyna Lachenal Edited June 21, 2010 by Paul Read

ben
The Amboyna Lachenal concertina is a good looking instrument...where ever it is. The seller..if he/she is legitmate...would help his/her own cause by admitting that they are a dealer or collector...who is able and willing to allow someone to check these instruments out in person. The seller is definitely not Chris Algar. Most likely a scammer....I may be wrong...

Maybe I'm missing something, but wasn't it established that this seller was legit (albeit maybe a bit optimistic) in the "Somebody is Dreaming" thread of a few days ago? SteveS
same scammer offering up the $20,000 Alf Edwards etc? Wasn't Alf Edwards' concertina acquired by a forum member a couple of years ago? Is this the same one? Edited June 21, 2010 by SteveS
Chris Drinkwater
Folks, the seller is one Anthony Green, a close friend of Stephen Chambers. He is the 'optimistic' seller of the Alf Edwards concertina (not sold), which he bought from Stephen, who acquired it a couple of years ago, and this Amboyna-ended 56 key Lachenal. I personally know Anthony and he is not a scammer. Perhaps he thinks he is more likely to get a sale at the prices he's asking, in the USA, though he lives in London. Or maybe he's missed a setting somewhere in the eBay setup and doesn't realize it?

Or maybe he's missed a setting somewhere in the eBay setup and doesn't realize it? Could easily be. He's obviously an Ebay novice, given his zero feedback rating.
