  1. Hi Greg How's it going? The wife and I are both retired now so we have more time to travel. It's been awhile since I have been to the Cinci area. I am hoping to get down that way this summer sometime. Is the Bb/F still available?
  2. I have received payment and the concertina is no longer available for sale. I would like to thank all that have shown an interest.

How does one best accompany Christmas carolers with an anglo concertina? Thank You and Happy Holidays to all on Cnet!
  4. 30 - Button C/G Anglo system, Rochelle model from Concertina Connection. Comes with soft sided gig bag & beginners instuction book. Very Good condition, hardly played. Three years old. Located in USA. Asking $275 OBO
  5. Instrument #425 born Sept 2006. Very nice condition. Located un USA. Comes with custom made hard shell case and additional soft padded case with shoulder strap. I would also consider a trade to a Ab/Eb Anglo. I have now moved up to a Carroll C/G and want another tuning to add to in my collection. Make Offer.
  6. I just received an excellent CD yesterday entitled "Music of O'Carolan - Ireland's Bard". It features John Mock on concertina, harmonium, whistle & guitar with Butch Baldassari on mandolin & bouzouki. I found it at www.soundartrecordings.com I highly recommend checking out the sound samples at the link. If you do that then I don't need to say anything else.
  7. Hello NE Workshop attendees, If anyone has (or is planning on making) reservations for the the closest motel to the workshop (Red Roof Inn - I think) for Friday and/or Saturday night --- I am seeking to share a room to keep my costs of attending as minimal as possible. I will be coming from Buffalo, NY on Friday and expect to arrive around 5pm. Thanks, Jim
  8. I ordered one. It should arrive sometime next week. Have you had a chance to give it a good run through and well does it do?
  9. I click on the RSS and get what looks like HTML. Now what do I do with it? Never did a RSS before.
  10. I am new to this forum and have been reading many of the posts. Having played mandolin, fiddle, and uke, I now am interested in learning the concertina. I was curious as to the use of a concertina in a somewhat bluegrass or old time folk setting. Has anyone tried such or know of it? What is usually used or suggested to use, Anglo or English? Your thoughts? Thanks
