Daniel Hersh
Very impressive! What kind of glue did you use to attach the patch to the concertina end? Filling a hole in the fretwork of an early Wheatstone EC
Theo
Very impressive! What kind of glue did you use to attach the patch to the concertina end? Cyanoacrylate (Super Glue) It has two big advantages for this sort of application. First, the parts can be assembled dry, glue applied from the back and it capillaries its way all through the joints, and second it dries clear and takes on the colour of the neighbouring wood. I'm usually very keen on hide glue because its removable, but in the future, if anyone wants to remove this patch they just need to saw round it!
