Daniel Hersh
It's here. Mediocre pics, virtually no description, brand new seller, very high minimum bid. Looks like 38 or 40 buttons. Ledgers date it to 1964. Looks nice, but starting bid ($6000 US) seems awfully high for such a late Wheatstone, especially from a completely untested seller. Possible scam? My guess would be no, but I'm not sure.
Paul Read
I don't see any scam indications apart from the lack of history.
Stephen Chambers
As Paul says, I don't see anything to suggest that it's a scam as such, but the opening bid is already a ludicrously high price for such a late Wheatstone and the lack of feedback would give you no grounds for confidence in the seller. No indication of shipping cost either.
Stephen Chambers
And, not surprisingly, I see that this one didn't sell, nor the two old Bell & Howell cine cameras the same person had listed at $25.00 each. A disappointing result for them, and maybe a reality check too?
