What else might I have been referring to?

I think that answers my question. On an iPhone, nothing in the user experience has changed. Right?

Thanks, again, for all the work you've put into this.

You’re most welcome! Yes, nothing has changed as far as the iPhone app, except that you canin the latest versions transpose the instrument up or down up to one octave in semitones increments.

I believe that iOS 11 devices can record audio 'on the fly', see this

Don, it works great!  Thanks for the tip.  But it is actually a video recorder, so

it records both sight and sound.  My iPhone6 does have iOS 11 something.

Minor bug, probably easy to fix.

Turns out that’s not quite true.

In the iPhone rendition of the Hayden app (iPhone 6+, iOS 11.4), all the sounds come out an octave higher than they should. I have checked my transposition setting and it’s at zero. Setting it to -12 makes the pitches work the way they should at zero (although a difference in timbre is noticeable due to the calculated transposition).

Thanks.

I could certainly change the native iPhone sample set to a lower range.

I’ll check if my sample set naming got shifted an octave up and if it did, replace them ASAP with a new update tomorrow if required! Sorry if I messed it up!

That must be what happened. It was always correct in previous versions. The low note on the right hand (bottom left button) should be middle C.

|     LEFT HAND         ||        RIGHT HAND
|                       ||
| F   G   A   B   C#    || F   G   A   B   C#
|  (C)  D   E   F#      ||   C   D   E   F#
| F   G   A   B   C#    || F   G   A   B   C#
|   C   D   E   F#      ||  (C)  D   E   F#
|                       ||
|(5th Finger) (Thumb)   ||  (Thumb) (5th Finger)
| ===HAND STRAP=====    || =====HAND STRAP=====
|
|(C) = middle C (both hands).
