Greg Jowaisas
Bent nose pliers (Micromart in the States for a source) are the ticket for holding the coil of the spring while adjusting the arm. Greg
malcolm clapp
What do you make valves from?, Ah yes, you still have lots of sheep down under. Has anyone tried rabbit? Tried it for bellows, but no good. Too many shotgun pellet holes in the skin
malcolm clapp
Malcolm, your tune is, I think, 'Wonking Matilda'? What do you make valves from?, Ah yes, you still have lots of sheep down under. BTW I support Rodger, above, from the picture shown it is difficult to see exactly what some silly wonker may have done.. Dave E Dave, I've never had a sheep down under in my life.... It's just a malicious rumour!

It's just a malicious rumour! I'm reminded of the limerick I once wrote for an old friend, farming, Harley-riding singer John Waltham: When John Waltham goes out near or far, He prefers motor bikes to a car. But the mount he loves best Wears a thick woolly vest And it doesn't go vroom; it goes baaa! Australian concertina makers do have some nice timbers to choose form, I believe? Terry McGee make some fine flutes from them.
