Am I the only person who still knows the difference between "bass" and "base"?

"Bass" means "low in pitch". "Base" means "foundation". While a bass line can be considered the foundation of a musical arrangement, the Wakker "foot bass" is a deep-voiced musical instrument, not simply a base on which to support one's feet.

Wendy's playing was both enjoyable and inspirational, and I'm glad she didn't use the foot bass just as a base for her feet. :)
