RAc
Found this short video the other day, always nice to watch all the hard work that goes into concertina making: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E4QHWas4G2I yes, this is a nice video, thanks for posting. However, it's already been discussed on this forum at least once: http://www.concertina.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=17218
Bruce McCaskey
It's worth mentioning that this is a new version of that previously discussed video. Dropping the music from the background does indeed let more of the sounds of production come through (as the person posting it comments) and of the two, I think I enjoy this version more. There was a span of several days around Christmas to New Years where very little new (concertina) material was posted on YouTube but I'm pleased to note that in recent days new videos have been appearing again. lxnx
Ah, thanks for pointing that out, I've been pretty busy the past couple of months, so I guess the first posting passed me by!
derekc
thanks for sharing - a very good sounding concertina and some very nice playing at the end as well. It inspired me to go and find the dots - I think this is the tune; https://thesession.org/tunes/9910
Graham S
thanks for sharing - a very good sounding concertina and some very nice playing at the end as well. It inspired me to go and find the dots - I think this is the tune; https://thesession.org/tunes/9910 It is - but it's a polka, not a reel, and it is indeed English. The Session seems to have difficulty classifying anything in simple time as anything other than a reel.........

I strongly suspect the pen of Mr GPS here :-) Agree, not a reel but the site has at least reminded me there is a version of this tune on Knock John. Another one to go on the "to learn list"....... Lots of 4/4 tunes are unfittingly bearing the "reel" tag at thesession.org, appears to be sort of a default setting...
