Chris Drinkwater
And here's my version; A+B+C parts played twice each, three times, although the "slows" in the C part are not, ahem, slow, though slower! http://soundcloud.com/aeolaman/william-and-nancy-vn1 Chris Very elegant, with a nice light touch on the instrument! Thank you for the compliment, Wolf. Chris

I found the transition from quick to slow and back again to be the trickiest part of this tune to learn, though my timing throughout is still quite ragged. Your playing was nicely done. bellowbelle
Okay here's mine, but not one single frill or trill... my hands have been reacting to the weather and it's been difficult to (over-) play my concertina. Thumbs all bandaged up, etc..William & Nancy (Box.com file): https://app.box.com/s/0ka1o745sa0dvucdjtyv UPDATE: Here's the same sound file, William & Nancy, but converted to MP3. David Barnert
I've waited until the month is nearly over, partly, I guess, because I'm not sure I have anything to add. It's a pretty routine Morris Dance tune and as such I've played it a million times. But I couldn't let the month go by without submitting something, so here it is, pretty much just as I always play it. https://soundcloud.com/dr-sleep-1/william-nancy 46-key Wheatstone Hayden Duet Concertina. Just because you've heard your version millions of times doesn't mean that we don't want to hear it (again, or for the first time). I wish more people were like you and posted something and then left it to the listeners to decide whether it is worth their time . I only hear real Morris Dance music once a year (at the National Folk Festival here in Canberra) and I really enjoy hearing good playing... and seeing good dancing. Makes me think I should seek out a local Morris group. If there is one.
