Having a bit of a sort out . Need to raise funds for a new melodeon for playing for Morris. I have a 20 button brass reeded C/G Lachenal I want to part with. Circa 1928 it all works OK. Recently tuned. Looking for £150 to include postage in UK. I live in Somerset if you want to have a look at it.

Hi Swig

Questions:

Anglo or English?

Where in Zummerzet?

Do you have a phone no. I could call you on?

Best wishes

Peter

Anglo or English?

"C/G" - This designation is only ever used with anglos.

"20 button" - While theoretically possible, I've never heard of an English (or a duet) with this number of buttons.

However, 20-button anglos are quite common.

What about this one Jim?

Looks like now I have! :)

Interesting.

What's the range?

And I had thought that previously the fewest-button non-miniature English I'd encountered was a 26-button piccolo-sized Lachenal with middle C as its lowest note, but I now realize that I'd forgotten the first concertina sold by Wheatstone -- Stephen Chambers' former avatar, -- and I don't remember how many buttons it has.

Ha!

As the feller said,

Not this feller.

I feel that a day when I can't learn something new is a day wasted. B)
