Ransom
I only used the description 'Tenor" because that what it says in the Wheatstone Ledgers. It does serve to distinguish it from an F/C pitched an octave higher which I think might exist. It does-- there's one for sale at the Button Box just now. Lachenal #107776. Theo
This Wheatstone Linota is now available for sale. It is pitched in FC a fifth below a typical CG, and is described in the Wheatstone Ledgers serial number 27224 as "AG Tenor 30 keys Rosewood". My guess is that few Linotas were made in this pitch. I've kept it in its original old high pitch of A=452.5Hz. Additional photos available here Still available and happy to consider good offers near the asking price of £5500 for this very rare model.
