  1. Hi fellow bards, after enjoying my CC Elise for a year and a half (while also playing anglo) it's time to upgrade to a next-level Hayden with more keys. I know it easier to find a McCann or Crane but the Hayden system makes more sense to me, for now. Or change my mind, i'm open to that. That being said, looking for a second-hand Stagi by Concertine Italia or else (can't afford a new Jay for now) in the EU-zone (i live in Italy) to avoid the huge import taxes or I could fly to the UK for a very good deal. thank you 🥰
  2. I am looking to purchase a 48 button Stagi English Baritone Concertina. Any help is greatly appreciated!
  3. I am a beginner looking for a concertina not over $370. I know it's a far stretch, but I don't have much money to spend. I would like it to be English/Duet but it doesn't really matter which one it is out of these. Thanks so much!
  4. Hello everyone, This is my first ever post on concertina.net and I am relatively new to the world of concertinas (been playing for a little less than a year). I started with the Elise from Concertina Connection and am looking to upgrade now that I've somewhat got the hang of it. My ideal instrument would be the Beaumont from R. Morse & Co. but I was saddened to hear that they are no longer in production. If anyone has a used Beaumont that they are willing to part ways with, I would be very eager to purchase it from you!
  5. As the title says, i'm looking at buying a 20 button anglo for pretty cheap (sub £200 IF possible, if not, i have to wait it out). If possible, photos of the reeds would be appreciated too.
  6. If you have a Hayden duet for sale I'd be interested in giving it a look. Peacock level or better.
  7. Hey everybody, this is my first post here. I'm Philipp, 25 years old, I come from Germany (Kaiserslautern) and usually play the piano at irish folk sessions. As a second (more transportable ) instrument, I'm thinking about buying a concertina. By searching on the internet, I learned a lot about the construction, the different button layouts and which layout is convenient for irish folk. During my search, I came across an intermediate concertina from McNeela (Phoenix): http://www.mcneelamusic.com/the-phoenix-concertina/ Now the question is whether this is an instrument I will enjoy for a longer time (several years) or will there a need to upgrade after a fairly short time? Has anyone experience with this model? Are there any significant differences between Czechoslovakian and Italian reeds (tipo a mano) with respect to the sound or response, respectively? Thanks in advance! Philipp
  8. I am looking for a 30 button Anglo concertina. I have just started playing and am making some headway. The wife is getting interested and I'd like to get her a nice beginner instrument. Money is tight so I can't afford most of the lovely instruments on here. If you have a good beginner instrument you want to get to a new home, please contact me. I'm in Canada, it would be nice to keep shipping manageable.
  9. Hello, I like to buy a used Rochelle concertina (in good condition of course ). I live in Europe (Belgium) so I prefer a seller from Europe, cheaper postage... Thank you ! Nicolas
  10. I'm interested in a 30-button AP James concertina preferabaly with sapele ends. If anyone has an old one they're not playing anymore, I'm looking to take it off your hands if the price is right. Thanks for reading and let's talk.
  11. Hello Concertina.net community. I have read through many of your forums for several years, but I'm trying to find a very specific box. I'm looking for a Crane duet, preferably 42-55 buttons as I have a Wheatstone 35 key Duet. thanks Chris
  12. Evening, Just registering my interest in purchasing one of the above; presently learning the ropes on a scarlatti which I'm enjoying but the sound is, how shall I put it- like an end-stage smoker puffing on a kazoo! adam
