The Ebay item description suggests it "needs a full restoration to be playable". Would you have any insight as to what would be necessary (and cost), OR whether this may be an appropriate "first project" for someone to take on (vs. leaving it only to the professionals)?
Clearly, I ask for personal reasons, but the instrument would be for my 16-yo daughter who has been wanting to learn to play for quite a while (in addition to her current repertoire of viola, ukelele, electric bass, accordion, etc.). I'm not a 'tina player at all, but am a bit handy with tools and materials and have been a semi-professional musician for some time. AND, HMT is scan miles from where I work.
