Marion Oughton
I don´t know if it is appropriate to put this here, but here goes... My Wheatstone English concertina, serial number 27550, chrome ends, chrome buttons, black bellows, 5 folds (I think), 6-sided, one thumb air lever, black leather thumb straps, very good condition, was stolen from my car in Yew Tree Lane in Northenden, south Manchester (M23), on the evening of Friday October 19th. It was in a distinctive wooden box, made of light coloured wood, inlaid with two women's symbols entwined on one face, some quavers on another face and some clefs and horizontal lines, with a leather carrying handle and a key and lined with dark blue velvet. There is a reward, yet to be decided on, for information leading to the recovery of my precious concertina. If you see this instrument or hear of it being sold or have any information about it, please contact me by email at marionoughton@hotmail.com. Thank you. McIsog
Post a picture of when you get a chance. There are dozens of concertina 'pickers' lurking here. They will remember it if they see it.

If you haven't already, contact places like Hobgoblin (in Manchester) - they'll be able to keep an eye out in case for someone brings it in to sell. Chris ps Hobgoblin is in Oxford Rd. Chris Timson
Ok, I've put out your message on the ICA members mailing list, and I understand it will be going in the next issue of Concertina World as well. Chris
Marion Oughton
I keep hoping... At the time that my precious Wheatstone was stolen, in October 2007, and for the next two or three years, I made enquiries with concertina and folk festivals, organisations and publications, including posting here. Sadly, I've had no news about my precious concertina. However, I still have hope that it might emerge for sale or repair somewhere sometime. Folk festival time is here, so I thought I should try again. There'll be a reward for news leading to me getting it back! (I don't have a photo of it - thanks for that suggestion.)
