Tom Cornwell
I'm considering a Stagi Hayden Duet from Button Box, but I'd love to see one in person before plunking down the cash. I'm in the Los Angeles, CA USA area (Pasadena, specifically). I'd certainly drive some to see such a rare beast as this, if anyone would be willing to show their Stagi Hayden Duet off... Thanks in advance...

Paul_Hardy
here try this link and maybe you get lucky, it a map of concertina player who join this group. it cover the world. i dont know if this is helpful but at least i try. http://www.frappr.com/concertinaplayers It doesn't include all of them, because I'm in Redlands, about half way between LA and Palm Springs! Nor does it include Tom in Pasadena. How does it work out who is where? I express professional interest, because I work for a GIS and digital mapping company! However I have no duet tinas (just 5 English) - see http://www.hardy.demon.co.uk/concertina/. What do you play at the moment, Tom?
Tom Cornwell
I dabble in lots of instruments. Mostly I'm a stringed instrument player (upright, acoustic bass, electric bass, guitar, mandolin), but I have a cajun button accordion. It's fun but very limited -- the singer in the house isn't fond of having to play everything in the same key. The Hayden system sounds versatile, relatively easy to learn, and thoroughly portable. I have a 120 bass piano accordion that is also amusing in small doses. Thanks for the map link -- maybe I messed it up, but it didn't show you in Redlands.. David Barnert
Don't expect the map to magically know about anybody that hasn't actually added themself to the database. It was first discussed in these forums back in February, click here.
