richard Posted May 8, 2006 Posted May 8, 2006 (edited) This is what I believe would be called a BARITONE 20 button Anglo concertina in the keys of C/G. It is an octave below a regular tenor C/G. It is made by Scholer. I don’t know its age but I would guess second half of the twentieth century, But it almost looks new! It is in great condition and looks great. Its red plastic veneer looks great and it has all its little accessories, tags and logos. It plays wonderfully. Its lowest notes are quite rich, rumbling and startling. The first three buttons on each row (the lowest pitch) of the left side are double reeded. All the notes play nicely and the response is good especially for such a low pitched concertina. The bellows and the body seem very airtight. Perhaps a lot of Scholer concertinas are very mediocre or worse but this is a nice playing and sounding instrument and could really make music with someone who knows how. Please feel free to e-mail me with more questions. I can send a sound clip if one is interested. $100.00 plus shipping Thanks, Richard richardgldbrg@aol.com Edited May 22, 2006 by richard
