RGG
Good morning. A couple of questions. Are the reed shoe slots on the silver Eiru tapered? Second, how long have you had/played the instrument? Lastly, what is the layout? Thanks.
rockportland
Hi. It’s a Jeffries layout. Based on the website the silver Eiru has brass plate clamped concertina reeds and the gold has the same reeds but also angling of the reeds. The Irish concertina co website might make this more clear. I have had this concertina about 6 months. Sorry I can’t explain more clearly about the reeds. Thanks for checking it out! LR71
I've played this one - this exact Eirú which is for sale - super responsive, crisp tone, pretty powerful if you want it to be, too. They use padded handstraps which was something I'd not dealt with before, but you could easily get used to that.
