Yes, I heard it played on a Cello & really liked how the lower, more mellow pitch seemed to suit the inherent pathos of the melody. 🙂

I often find those inbetween lower range notes; between treble to bass, like the lower B etc.. can give tunes a mysterious enigmatic feel to it! Generally speaking anyway ( not particularly referring to your tune here; just my thought.)
