darticus
What does this sound like to you Two Hohner D40 concertinas and both had sound problems. You play a note lightly and if you give it more air a pop sound is faintly heard and it gets louder. These were both new. Will it fix itself in time? Sounds like a valve sticking and letting loose, do you agree? Thanks Ron
Geoff Wooff
I don't know what a Hohner D40 looks like so I googled it and I see that these are just about the cheapest 20 button models available.I don't think you can expect one of these to play perfectly, leastways not for very long, but if they are New new then you have some waranty I assume. Yes it is probably a valve. Perhaps the instruments have been stored in a position where some of the Valves hang down and have 'set' themselves too open. It might improve but if not pay a visit to an accordion repairer.
