nkgibbs
I have just purchased a 20 button concertina from ebay. It was claimed to be 'vintage'. Can anyone please identify the maker, model, date etc??? Many Thanks and Seasonal Greetings, Neil Gibbs Manchester, UK

Ken_Coles
I bought a very similar box 14 years ago. There is a picture of it in the early part of this essay on Italian concertinas. Not valuable certainly, but mine was fun to start on.
Chris Timson
Hope you didn't pay too much for it. I'm afraid these anonymous boxes were made by the thousand in Italy, and are rarely of any quality or value. Having said that they can be a good way of finding out if you like the concertina, but if you find you do then you will want to move on to something better (see the thread on Concertina Compulsive Acquisition Disorder). nkgibbs
Thanks for your helpful comments. I paid $44 for the box so do not feel that I have overspent for my introduction to the Free Reed World!!! Merry Christmas Neil Gibbs
