TedK
I forgot to mention: it has steel reeds.
Chris Timson
I had one of these at one time - ex-Sally Army G/D (probably originally Ab/Eb) 26 button Jones, and I endorse the suggestion that it is a very good first G/D being offered here at a decent price. Mary B
I bought this G/D Jones anglo. It arrived today. I like its mellow tone. I played it for about an hour, and had fun playing a few folk song melodies by ear, with lots of trial and error. I found it much easier to play by ear on the anglo than on the EC, although I can see it is going to take me a while to get used to different notes on the push and pull. I was inspired to try the anglo after listening to Gary Coover's Christmas carol videos. It will be a challenge to learn to play like that. Formidable!
TedK
I'm glad to hear Mary is getting on well with this instrument. I had a surprising amount of interest in it, so it seems like there is a definite shortage of reasonably priced G/D anglos.
